GDAY's Community Resource Room at the Prescott
In early 2009, GDAY entered into a unique partnership with GDRSD and the GD SpedPac to create a community resource room and meeting center.
GDAY is pleased to coordinate this drop-in center which contains many useful resources on health, safety and the prevention of youth risk behavior that are available to borrow and many which are free to the public.
The GDAY Resource Room houses numerous pamphlets, booklets and other resources that parents, educators, coaches and students may use to prompt age appropriate discussions on issues like:
- Internet Safety
- Safe Homes Pledge
- Red Flags and Resources: How to Spot the Red Flags of Risky Youth Behaviors and Find the Support You and Your Child Need
- Alcohol Abuse
- Smoking
- Illegal Drug Use
- Bullying and Cyber-bulling
- Safe Proms
- And much, much more!
There are a number of parenting books from our Parent to Parent Book Discussion Series, as well as resource guides and other educational support materials available to borrow.
The GDAY Community Resource Center is a drop-in center, open Monday- Friday, 9am-5pm during the school year and open during the Prescott Central Office summer hours of operation.
If you would like assistance using the resource room, you may contact a GDAY steering committee member by visiting our website at www.g-day.org.
