Everyone's Middle School (EMS)
previously know as the
Middle School Advisory
Come join us after school for a student inspired, adult led group sponsored by Groton Dunstable Alliance for Youth. It is a drop-in program which will meet immediately after school in a comfortable, non-classroom setting at the Peter Twomey Youth Center. 7th and 8th graders, and 5th and 6th graders will meet separately, each group meeting once a month.
The dates are as followed:
7th and 8th grade:
Tuesday February 9th 2:30 - 3:30 PTYC
Tuesday March 9th 2:30 - 3:30 PTYC
Tuesday April 13th 2:30 - 3:30 PTYC
5th and 6th grade:
Tuesday Februayr 23rd 2:30 -3:30 PTYC
Tuesday March 23rd 2:30-3:30 PTYC
Tuesday April 27th 2:30 - 3:30 PTYC
Permission slip is required if your child decides to attend any of the sessions, a note must be written by the parent/guardian and brought to the office before school. The note must clearly state that the child has permission to attend and will be picked up at 3:30pm at the side door of the PTYC.
Our goal is to provide a fun, relaxed a supportive environment for a wide range of middle school students to interact with one another. Each session, we will provide a snack and music, as well as an activity, game, project or other framework for a discussion of topics which are of interest to middle school students. We expect that every session will be different and hope that the students will take an active role in shaping the course of our activities and conversations over the course of the year. In addition, we hope to engage students in projects which will benefit the middle school community.
